Dance and Movement Therapy
Healing happens when the body feels safe enough to let go.

Dance/movement therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses movement, body awareness, creativity, and verbal processing to support emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration. It is based on the understanding that the mind and body are interconnected and that movement can provide meaningful information about our emotions, relationships, nervous system, and lived experiences.
Tori Bulick holds a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University and is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). This specialized training allows Tori to thoughtfully integrate movement-based assessment and interventions into the therapeutic process.
Depending on each client’s needs and comfort, sessions may include traditional talk therapy alongside breath, grounding, posture, rhythm, gesture, sensory awareness, creative movement, or noticing sensations within the body. Dance/movement therapy can support emotional expression, nervous-system regulation, self-awareness, body connection, identity exploration, relationship development, and the processing of experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
No dance ability or previous movement experience is required. Dance/movement therapy is not a dance class, performance, physical therapy, or fitness program. Movement is always collaborative, adaptable, and optional. Clients are encouraged to participate in ways that feel accessible, affirming, and emotionally and physically safe.
Dance/movement therapy offers a gentle way to notice what your body may be communicating and explore emotions or experiences that words alone cannot always reach.
You remain in control throughout the process.
Movement is always an invitation—never a requirement—and may be as subtle as noticing your breath, shifting your posture, feeling your feet against the floor, or choosing stillness.
Together, you and Tori will find a pace that honors your boundaries, identities, nervous system, and sense of safety. You can pause, modify, decline, or return to conversation at any time. There is nothing to perform and no correct way to participate.
If you are curious about exploring therapy through movement, creativity, and compassionate body awareness, Tori invites you to schedule a consultation and learn whether dance/movement therapy feels right for you.

Your body is not betraying you. It is remembering what you survived.”

Dance and Movement

Tori incorporates dance and movement therapy to help clients explore experiences that may be difficult to access through words alone.
Through gentle, collaborative practices—including movement, breath, body awareness, rhythm, and creative expression—clients can develop a deeper understanding of their emotions, nervous system, and relationship with their body.
No dance experience is needed, and you will never be expected to move in a way that feels uncomfortable or performative.
Tori adapts each session to your needs, offering movement as an invitation rather than a requirement and creating an affirming space where you can build self-trust, process emotions, and reconnect with yourself.
